First thing I would check is to see if my bed was still there and set as spawn point.
Someone/thing may have destroyed it and remade it.

Then I would suggest verifying local files. Library - right click on game name for properties - local files - verify.

If that won't work I would then suggest uninstalling the game <after backing up saves>
Manually navigate to the folder and delete it entirely.
Reinstall "clean" copy of game. <an uninstall may not remove everything, to make sure you have a good install you have to delete the file manually>

Add mods back in after you verify proper game function in a new game save.

no mods, and no ones been on besides me all day and this happened again today. Can't say 100% the other times. And my bed would not be destroyed without my entire base being over run as it's on the 3rd floor. I'll have to get to work reinstalling stuff

Yeah, sure sounds like the game doesn't recognize your last spawn point. I forgot to click on the bed when I relocated mine, but I'm pretty sure it just sent me back to the last one I had.

It normally shouldn't.

If your spawn point gets destroyed it will put you at the start circle. It should not revert you to a previous one.

If you are playing on a dedicated server then ask the server admin what time the server resets. Typically they will reset once a day but admins can make it more often. If you happened to be playing when the server reset happened it may not recognize a bed change or you can lose stuff you put away or even duplicate stuff.

Best to avoid playing near the time the server resets to avoid issues.

Thats odd indeed. Do you use mods? Old world? If so, do you experience the same issues in a fresh world?
