Cold Wind Event is WAY WAY WAY too long.

Guys, come on. Not only does it mean you get caught out freezing if you're not wearing frost resistant armor at your base while you're trying to do base things, but it spawns eleventy bajillion drakes and lasts way to freaking long.

The base attack mechanic is annoying to begin with (yeah yeah, build defenses; what if I don't *want* our village to look like a fortified castle keep?), but for it to bring a health drain and last a year at a time is a bit much.

Shorten it, yeah? Shorten all of them. They're a time-sink annoyance at "best."

Go with me on a mind-adventure: I don't want to have to mod/cheat or world scum to fix a thing about the game that I think sucks. I'm simply sharing that I think their current implementation sucks. Some folks seem to agree.

There is plenty of "survival" in the game without having to stop what you're doing and waste a bunch of time, mats, etc. fighting off things that aren't actually a challenge to defeat. Again: they're just time and material wasters. That's not fun, it does nothing to enhance the "survival" aspect at all, and they should be nixed or fixed.

Most of us disagree, it is a survival game, it is a mechanic, and you dislike it. Some of us want it harder. DEAL.

Would be nice If valheim were customizable like many games. Raids would be the first thing I would disable and ore teleport on.

Mods are nice, but especially in an EA title they can break so much ...

So you went through the entire game without dying to any mob? While in rags a Greydwarf is a hazard. In padded, not so much. At over 600 hours in, I died yesterday to a pack of Deathsquitos.... so there is still a threat.

I disagree, 150 seconds is not that long of a fight. They should not be shortened at all, I think they should be increased, in fact I think they all should be!

7 game days for me. Got killed, spawned naked in a nearby base and the drakes stayed 7 days around, and were like following me. My other teleport bases are on another islands. I made some gears and a raft, went to to closest teleport across the sea and teleport into the attacked base. As soon i was inside the event ended. 7 days waiting and the solution was only to get inside the base to make it end...

Event timers only progress if you stay inside the raid area. This is to prevent players from just cheesing and running away from raids until they expire, as then raids would be zero threat as if a player isn't around areas unload and no damage can be done.
If you stay in the raid area they last less than 2 minutes.
