Mistlands sucks.

- Hard and boring to travel.
- Npc frequence too high and its not consistent.
- Too much grinding.

Overall a terrible experience, I just louse interest on the game after I played on this new biome.

There are other threads already that get into all the things wrong with Mistlands and how to play Mistlands. I've played about 30 hours in Mistlands now and died four times. I'll just say that after a while you get the hang of things. And as terrible as the vertical stuff is sometimes, I use it to my advantage all the time in fights. Mistlands was made for using a bow.

The dvergers def need a boost, or the ability to respawn as the most recent one got one-shot by a seeker before they could even get a shot off.

The mines are pretty good fun, unless you get swamped by 3 or 4 seekers at the spawn entrance.

The main problem is ticks as they spawn-camp your corpse if you die and you can't outrun them. You can dodge their leaps but the slow regain of stamina as you do this makes for a frustrating experience.

Enemies should avoid destroying wisp torches. This mechanic worked well for Minecraft :).
Ooze bombs pretty much negate tick campers. Deathsquitos as well. Can't forget the lessons learned from easier biomes! Mistlands was challenging as a solo player but there are definitely solutions to every complaint I've read so far.

Bah fog in the game is temporary just like how blizzards are temporary in mountains.

In any case I beat the Mistlands boss easy due to dev ignorance so I kinda have little interest in wandering around half blind in Mistlands.
Question at this point - I felt like adjacent biomes to the Mistlands had more foggy days than usual.

We had a base in the plains near the Mistlands and it seemed to me like every 2nd to 3rd day was foggy / don't recall that being the case in the past.

Someone can confirm?

The experience before and after getting the Mistlands workbenches / equipment made is wildly different. I actually think there's fewer enemies than in other biomes, but they're just very tanky if you don't have good gear.

Agreed. The first few treks in it feels like there are enemies everywhere, but now that I'm actually comfortable exploring in there (the new cape was game-changing), wide expanses seem to be entirely empty of hostiles.

I've heard some people say the wisp lights attract enemies, though, and I decided to do the Mistlands without defeating Yagluth to avoid the new raids, so perhaps I'm meeting fewer enemies because I don't have the wisp?

If you clip a wisplight torch into a simple wood beam no creature will be able to attack it.

The gjall honestly arent that bad aim low and for the belly and they go down fast and for some reason they lose interest in you real fast.
For the ground enemies just make a carapace buckler and spear and it becomes trivial.

It needs a small balance tweak, but not much.
Perhaps a tweak to sight distance as well, but again, not too much.

They said the same thing about the Swamps...

And the the Plains...

People love to ♥♥♥♥♥ when they are faced with challenge. They love to call it "tedious" and "slog" instead.

I despise the lack of radius for the Wisp Light and the lousy terrain. Makes it rather difficult to spot dungeons or moving around. Adding a third food type is also really odd because you have to sacrifice 1-2 health or stamina foods to access said magic.

Mistlands to me is under baked.
