Sinking foundations or storm tides?

It appears that with time the entirety of stone foundations is sinking. Firepits that used to NEVER go out, now are going out because an invisible undulating ocean is putting it out. LOGIC

He means the tide. The tide is not steady OP, it has a maximum and minimum value from what I've seen. Some days the tide rises a few feet inland near my home, other days its WAY further inland, a few feet from my fences. Just move the building or whatever is being swamped or raise the floor level.

Tides can be pretty high.
From optimization standpoint, it is easier to calculate ocean regardless of the land mass.
If you don't want the waves to touch your campfire - build higher.

Have you tried repairing the stonework, and making sure your fire has a roof over it so I doesn't go out with the rain?

So are you saying you have a base you build months ago and now it has issues?
