Thistle respawn conditions...
Are there any 'conditions' on having thistle respawn? I know of the 'blue swirlies' that hover over the resource nodes to help with collecting at night.
What I noticed was that after clearing some trees near the resource nodes, the thistle stopped respawning, but the blue swirlies remain...?!? I also bet, if I went to Drake Nests that I've looted, I'll find them restocked with 'Dragon Eggs'...
Now, after the hotpatch update....the missing resource nodes have returned! I've planted more Fir trees around the nodes to perhaps help, which led me to ponder if there are terrain/foliage 'conditions' that need to be met to allow for a map planted resource node to respawn??

On the subject, will damaged berry bushes respawn?If you chop a plant down it stays gone.
Damaged, not destroyed.

...not sure...reseeding seemed a good place to start...just glad they respawn with updates!!

For things like blueberry bushes the bush can be destroyed or cut down. Don't think they will respawn after that.
Red Mushrooms and Thistle will respawn even if you dig away the dirt. Had a road I cut into a hill and the thistle on the side would grow on the slope that got cut in and the red mushrooms actually grew on the path even after is was paved.

If you have a workbench or any of the other spawner blockers near by they will not respawn.They respawn in the same location. Every resource has different respawn rates. Just mark them on your map and revisit every few game days.
These spots that respawned had been dormant for say, well over a year in Game Days...I think it has something to do with the ground cover/trees, or perhaps constructions nearby, but there really aren't any 'nearby' probably over 20 units away..??
We'll see how my reseeding the terrain with Fir trees work...
Thanks for the heads up about those abandoned village bushes...again, probably has to do with nearby 'new' constructions??

No-spawn items can't be within 20m or it will prevent the spawn of plants as well as npcs.

My latest character started by taking over a small berry village that had like 3 or 4 enclosed berry bush patches but the berries have never grown back. Was kinda hoping that fertilizing the berry bushes would increase either the yield of berries acquired or rate of which they re-spawn but sadly that isn't the case.
Not a massive concern for me as I use the additional space for carrots / turnips. Just a bit disappointed that the berry bushes are useless and not impacted by fertilized ground.

Dragon eggs do respawn after a while. So all you need is one near Moder and move it to a box by the summon area and wait for another to spawn etc.
Now the blue swirls in the BF I see as being unrelated to the actual thistle. IDK Most of the thistle I collect has nothing to do with any swirls.
What has me wondering is that if anything player built is near it might stop spawning or if just the player being too close too often can reset the respawn timer. So if you are constantly checking you may stop it from spawning at all.
