I had a small outpost on the ocean edge with a portal to the main base. The Elder alter was close by. I patrolled around the area for many days looking over the landscape and seeing what was spawning. A Troll would spawn in every 3 games days or so.

Today I decided to do the Elder fight. Put the camp fires around the alter area and a couple of workbenches in the area to reduce any close by spawns. It was a nice clear morning, saw the Troll and took him out. Had 200 fire arrows ready and went with the bronze armor. Put the Ancient Seeds in the fire. The fight when well, used 70 of the fire arrows.

The part that scared me the most was when I had Elder down to very low health, all of a sudden a message flashed across the screen “The Forest is Moving”. I was saying this was all I needed, the raid event starting during the fight. The flame arrows were doing damage over time, and the next thing I see is elder fall and the message “The Forest Rests”. I guess there was not really a raid starting, it was just the sign that Elder had been defeated. Had not seen anyone talk about the “The Forest is Moving” message coming up on the screen.
