Found something but cannot dig it up with wishbone
I have wish bone, searching for silver. I think I found some silver but at the mining limit, is there any way to go deeper? Had a skeleton with items buried . Area I am at digging, wishbone pulses showing I am close. Side of steep slope. Mine from the side and could lower but the area I need to mine does not go deeper. I feel I should go deeper but can not.
In another area, found silver vein, dug up one thing of silver then wishbone had no more pulses, is there more silver buried or was it just one rock?

I've had to give up on a few wishbone pings that seemed to be too deep or not there, I've seen some weird spawns rarely where things were out of place so could be that type of thing. Added the ping ranges are pretty big, its easy when you are first starting out to miss. I didn't know this when I started and my first silver mines I probably missed 80% of the silver and tended to dig a bit too soon ping wise.

I went back twice to the spot, that is why I gave up on it. I got the hunted event, so I left then came back. Wishbone keep beeping.

also notice if the chest is there u have to hit the chest to make it quit beeping as well, even after u take everything from chestEven after i hit the chest the pinging didn't stop ... so i just smashed the chest.

also notice if the chest is there u have to hit the chest to make it quit beeping as well, even after u take everything from chest

I've seen this fairly recently with gravesites in the Mountains. You used to find silver necklaces in the Mountain graves but I think they removed them for some reason awhile back. The last few builds you'll only find the skeleton but the wishbone keeps going. I'd call it a bug.

Just had that happen. There was nothing but the skeleton that I could find, and the wishbone didn't stop beeping after I picked it up. Pretty annoying.

ive had that happen a couple of times, but i found out if u walk away from the area , and then return the wishbone will not beep.

Buried treasure attracts the wishbone as well, so that might have been the skeleton. But it should have stopped after you picked up the treasure.

I skipped it then mined at the other area. got 3 stone golems and one hunted event...I like the wolves kill the golem then run away into a frost cave.

There is a mining limit of 8m down, and on the side of a steep slope it can get tricky as to when you've hit the limit.
There is more silver on that last one. Wishbone stops pulsing once you hit it. Silver has a large Y shaped vein underground, and occasionally more than one in the same spot. Dig all around it.
