To answer your question OP, I've never tried. What would be the rules? Fresh world fresh toon? On my current world I could do it pretty quick (wont hazard a guess) because I have portals to every boss and I could easily put the summon loot on standby there. Interesting challenge at least.

Welcome to the Valheim boards. Where you MUST play it EXACTLY how they say. Even just uttering anything about deviating from their vision will get you dogpiled.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with speedrunning games. Yeah, technically it is playing the game wrong, but so what? It's fun, and that's kind of the main reason to play video games.

yeah but speedrunning needs some rules when you can compete. you can't compete on random speed with random ppl, that is just retarded. eithery you create a specific seed and speedrun or that or there is no point in bragging

Serious?, there are people like that on the Valheim forums? Speedrunning is absolutely amazing. Time dedicated to understand a game like it isn't supposed to be played, it's just glorious.

Pretty sure you can speed speedrun pretty much any game you want.

Given that the challenge is not to "play the best" to get the fastest time, speed running Valheim should logically be substituted with sitting on the world-map generator website and search thru all the seeds for the "perfect map".
Without a consensus on what seed to use, the idea of a "fastest" is complete nonsense really.

Well lets face it ... the majority of "speedrun experts" use map exploits and game glitches to achieve a minimum time.
But this is a sandbox type game. You have a console to use.
If you set things up before hand you could reasonably join a server for the first time and kill all the bosses within 5 min. Jump in a portal grab the items to trigger the boss then console to insta kill them. Portal to next boss and repeat.

I mean if your idea of fun is half a second of internet fame from having the "best time" I guess someone could enjoy that?

But yeah, in a game like this it seems kind of nonsensical to me as well.

If there isnt portals stick to the bosses altars and u havent full BM and padded , I doubt a lot u can do it in 1/2 hour or an hour , trasmporting moder eggs are a thing and even with top bow and top arrows take time if u re alone , same with yagluth

That could all be set up before you even get to a server.
I have plenty of playthrough saves where I have things like totems and eggs in boxes by the boss spawn.

I assume this new map new toon?haven't done a quick boss run yet but if I were to I'd try go blind on a new map with fresh character. If ever do this I'll try get back to you lol
