Stealth hurts...

I'm an avid player of the rogue archetype. I like using the knife weapons due to their low weight and stamina drain as well as their parry multiplier.

But holy crap, sneaking up on enemies in this game with how slow you move, how open the world is, how frequently enemies turn around... my god I've never had a more frustrating stealth experience. I gave up at like 60 sneak which is a shame because 500 damage jump attacks are awesome.

Is there any plans for armor like the troll set that might have more protection to it?

It doesn't matter where you shoot from, if there's no red exclamation point above the enemy it's a "crit shot". As I said you exit sneak as soon as you draw the bow anyway, so if they don't see you while you're drawing, they wouldn't have seen you approach either.

I feel like if I were a small being living in Valheim, I'd be checking behind my back a lot lol it feels like it fits in with having to survive in an unpredictable and brutal world where things can seem peaceful and yet have sudden terrible deadly danger lurking close by and minor gods with fickle tempers at large.

in mountains and plains sneak attack with knife is some useless because group monsters ( wolves and fulings ) makes the letal blow nearly impossible to do , only is good with the bow in these biomes , maaaaybe with loxes but their hitboxes are a little weird , im stiking in their furry bu/tt and the jump attack sometimes fails

Sneaking and bows really have nothing to do with each other, you exit sneak as soon as you draw. Sneak attacks are completely unrelated to the sneak damage multiplier, you get that just for hitting an unaware enemy, regardless of if you're sneaking. Many enemies you can sprint up behind and get a stab attack off before the red exclamation mark appears, granting you your 10x damage bonus.

So it's two extremes, you have to be super slow and sneak up right behind them or super fast and sprint then hit before they react.

i agree sneaking is horribly slow and trying to level up while sneaking would take 4 times longer if not more. i would like to see sneaking increase skill leveling by 33-75% just to compensate for that time lost while sneaking..
