Few beginner questions please.
EDIT: Questions now answered, but any no spoiler tips still welcome
Firstly, please, zero spoilers.
I really think this game has amazing potential at the moment and I love it, and I want to succeed and fail blindly, I am seasoned to games of this genre and I know that the discovery of everything yourself is really satisfying.
That being said, I just have a few questions that I would like to know, I went into this game blind so if some questions seem obvious its because I really just didnt do almost any looking into the game before I purchased it and as I know its not full release I guess some things may not be implemented yet
I am currently on day 38 or so, I spent maybe ten days building a lodge from a youtube tutorial video that gave no spoilers, all wood of course and I have beaten the first boss and have a smelter and am mining tin and copper
1: Are there seasons?
2: Do mobs respawn? I have found spawners and only destroyed a couple so far
3: Do the dungeon like areas respawn?
4: I have found some seeds, is farming a thing yet in the game? (have not tried to see how this works yet)
5: Is taming creatures functional in the game yet?
6: Do areas respawn back to a natural state if not visited in a while? (I am guessing not, I know berries respawn and I guess trees dont as you get seeds, you can just answer correct if this is all correct)
7: Do boars/deers respawn after over hunting an area
8: Can you go down skill levels upon death? (I know that a message says yours skills have lowered but I dont know the extent)
Lastly, not really a question, but any tips/hints that new players learning everything from scratch without wiki etc should know/be aware of, is everything in the game possible to work out with no help, kind of a loaded question as I have asked for no spoilers I know.
Finally thank you for taking the time to read this, especially if you can help with some/all of these questions.
May you enter sovenga... valhalla... whatever ....

I'm with you here. Would never watch game walkthroughs as discovering how game works by myself is the best part.

Just to clarify further about non-respawning enemies, the ones that do not respawn are attached to a generated structure like a ruin, dungeon entrance or dungeon interior.
For example the burial chambers in black forests typically generate with a small arrangement of skeletons guarding the entrance. If you kill these ones they will never come back. It can be a bit difficult to notice this right away because enemies that spawn like this are indistinguishable from their randomly roaming equivalents in every other way.

Yep, some games have some things you will NEVER work out on your own, and I think thats bad that a game expects you to look at wikis/letsplays etc (Im looking at you terraria) I dont know yet if this is one of those games, but right now I`m doing ok. Some things like ive asked though are just simply little timesavers to save me working them out myself but at the same time dont give me an advantage

Thanks, thats minor and not an issue, I just didnt want to take out spawners if it meant an area would always then be barren of mobs, although, I went to a burial chamber in the black forest that I had marked and killed the mobs outside, yet there was still one solitary skeleton again outside, couldve been a random spawn of course or one I had missed previously

Skeletons do respawn outside of crypts. They haven't always done so, but they do now. They don't respawn around the stone ruins. (So you can take over one of those if you want to.)
Also, some base structures like workbenches and campfires prohibit spawns within a smallish radius around them. Although things can spawn outside of that radius and walk in.

Couple additional tips. 1 When sailing keep your boat angled 90 degrees to the wind, for some reason this is faster than having the wind at your back. Apparently thats true to life, idk why it works, physics is weird like that.
2. Carts are very useful, but true to life, they're great on smooth flat terrain and near impossible to use on rough ground. Make roads.
3. Ores and metals don't work with portals, setup roads outposts and ports to make transporting them easier. Or just make a forward workshop to use the new stuff without having to take them back to your main base.
4. Shields are good, parries are great. Apparently round shields and bucklers are better than tower shields as the former can parry while the latter cannot. Also block health, the amount of damage you can take while blocking before staggering, is tied directly to your HP. So if you want to tank be sure to use health buffing food. Parries stagger most enemies except bosses.

8. Yes, 5% of the total.
Wait.... so if you have a skill at 100 and you die, you lose 5 whole skill levels ?!?!
Wow.....
That is correct. (Personally, I mod that out. Corpse run is enough to keep me humble.)

Useful thanks, the sailing thing is called tacking, you zigzag to get the wind. Didnt even know about portals, but not surprising in a game of this nature

For further tips:
You can do a lot to alter the landscape. Doing so will give you a definite tactical advantage. It has a limit as to how high or how low it will go. Dig or build in line with the compass for straight lines. No caves except under existing structures.
Poison resist only works if you take it before you get poisoned. Also the swamp absolutely hates your boat. Most new people who say the game is unfair tried to land their boat at the edge of the swamp. The other people who come on the forums and complain thought that pretty open area with the brown grass would be nice to them.

I already thought the game was unfair when "the forest started to move" in my ten day building project causing me 3 deaths and making me run away from the area crying, I did not come to steam to cry though, I did it privately and just got on with it.
It strangely though made me glad I hadnt been hitting the wiki as I was NOT prepared for that .... I love being new in a good game, you can only be new once.
Off topic, but some games, I wish I could forget all knowledge of and start again as a noob, thats why this game, I am not going to be looking at letsplays, going to the wiki etc, and I will not be complaining when the game destroys me, unless its bug related or like some games just bad balancing etc
I will make note of boats and swamps, but then IRL they arent always a good mix either

1. No
2. Yes. And while you do get some resources from breaking spawners I generally find it best to avoid destroying them as they make good farming spots.
3. Far as I've seen only mushrooms respawn inside dungeons. Nothing else does.
4. Yes farming plants is a thing, you will need a forge to start though.
5. Yes. Start a boar farm, its a good source of meat and leather. You can also tame some creatures besides boar.
6. No.
7. Yes
8. Yes. Looks to be 5% skill loss on death, but you get a temporary buff on respawn to prevent further skill loss.
Only tips I have for you is keep well fed, setup outposts, and take materials for a portal when traveling far from home.

1. No seasons.
2. Mostly yes, but not all of them.
3. Mostly no. Mushrooms do, and resources and a few mobs in mistlands do.
4. Yes, very important.
5. Yes, but controlling them is very limited.
6. No. Certain pickable items do respawn though. (Even inside your house.)
7. Yes, except for the boar stones.
8. Yes, 5% of the total.

Wow..... so basically, dying at low levels not too bad, but high levels very bad
