having the same problem here, i mean i dont have any mods installed and never had i just cant get to create a new world. my friend tried creating a world too but that didnt work either.

yeah my world has crashed twice, I went through and updated my drivers and it still will randomly seriously lag

It's not crashing, the game just takes a long time to perform worldgen (or to update an existing world if a patch has changed how terrain is calculated and/or managed). If anything happens that makes the OS try to interact with the program (such as if you try pressing a key, pushing a mouse/controller button, have other programs or services trying to monitor performance and "be helpful" [they usually aren't] towards anything they think isn't working right), it will get confused by the game having all of it's focus on something other than input management and think that it's crashed. You just have to be reaaaaaaaally patient for it to finish working (10+ minutes in some situations, even with good hardware).

1) Are you using any mods?
- If so, does anything pop up in your BepInEx log?
- Also, try starting with mods disabled.

2) What is the nature of the crash?
- Does the game just stop responding? If so, wait up to ten minutes for the world to generate.
- Does it crash and exit to desktop? Is there an on-screen error?

3) Could you share the contents of your player.log file?
