I think this game is very unfair since it only allows the leader access to devcommands. That makes it more of single player game. Too bad not enough good multi player games out there.

What? Sounds like y'all are just loners that eventually get bored playing solo. That blanket statement only really applies to your experience. It doesn't describe mine in the slightest.

I don't think the game is unfair. I think the topic/headline of this thread is strange and I don't know what else to discuss. Is it whether the game is unfair or not, is it the OPs decision to cancel his/her server, is it the perceived lack of features or the OPs feelings?

The game is not ment to be played by devcomands. Devcomands are for management not for playing the game.

If they allowed maybe 12 or 15 players per server there might be more room for a second (or even third) leader. more devcommands for everyone! Well at least 2(or 3).

As it stands now things don't look like they are going to change for a while.
you can use mods to increase the cap. i've seen servers with 50 and even 100 players. but they were extremely laggy. so 10 is a good number.

also since there is scaling of 4%dmg and 40%hp per player in 200m from mob... 15 players will make the game more deadly

i think there were an option to give "admin" rights to multiple people on a server (either with dedicated server settings or with a mod. not sure, but the possibility were there) and with admin rights player could turn both devcommands and debugmode on. so creative mode for everyone.

Only with mods can everyone be given dev and debug.
Dedicated MP servers disable debug mode.
Single player worlds that you invite others too allows the SP player access to those commands. Not the same as a dedicated server with IPaddress

All dev commands do on a MP server is allow admin controls like banning players and similar.
They can’t spawn anything in or use fly/free build.

Yeah and anyone should be able to farm too. If I want to plant onions I should be able to plant onions. I don't need the devcommands leader guy telling me about "you can't plant onions bro" and I'm all like "but what if I want to though." Then he goes "who cares"

Amiright?

Lol, devcommands aren't part of the game. You don't need them to, ya know, actually play the game as intended.

Nice with a singel player game that you can share with your friends to join your world. :)

It really is better in single player. You get to keep the world after the owner gets bored and plays New World or some other weird game. If the server is dedicated odds are nobody plays. You get to set your own goals and challenges, and achieve them without somebody else throwing black metal weapons and lox pie at you for "help". Only time people group up in a server is because they don't care about the gameplay, they just want to socialise and goof around like it's gmod, and just build stuff.

I don't have a problem with the cap why should only on player see the whole world map? Most of my team go and play on their own. So I cancelled my server and usually play single

I don't see why it's unfair that your world maps aren't automatically shared. That's how most games work. If you want them shared, just use the cartography table. If you don't like your players going off on their own, then you should have told them you want to go with them. Though it's strange you find this a problem in the first place. I have 9 players on my dedicated server. I don't care whether they share their world maps or not. Of course that's just me.

Also, the game is in Early Access. The IronGate roadmap states the they will look into multiplayer options later in development.
