I used a mod to make the scales and meat float. Hell, I use a lot of mods for this game just to make it fun.

Getting the scales is the main reason to get the harpoon... Just not the only reason for the harpoon.

mods can make the scales float, maybe that was it if you were on a server.

nah thought i read it a few years ago about serpent float must have been the meat one never played a server or with mods

The meat floats, the scales do not.
