it kind of cascades, unless I am wrong about them counting towards the retribution raids. Like the skele surprise is trigger by destroying skeletons. As well being a co-participant in other raid types. Several mobs share that characteristic. So, keep in mind that trolls will come for you at a threshold, but its also possible they count for the next wave. They beget themselves, as the saying goes.

I hate troll events! Everytime that message pops up "the ground is shaking" I b line it to my garden and protect that holy sanctuary with my life. I swear, nothing pisses me off more than npcs messing with my beautiful garden. I am willing to die over those flowers.

This is just wrong, raids are chosen at random, completely irrelevant to the amount that you kill (all that matters is that a troll must have died in your world at least once for the raid to unlock itself permanently)

I get following events in order of occurrence (after queen slayed):

1. The ground is shaking (~40%)
2. Skeleton surprise (~30%)
3. You stirred the cauldron (~15%)
4. A foul smell from the swamp (~10%)
5. There‘s a smell of sulfur in the air (~5%)

nope seems the same to me. However my memory of troll attacks tend to stick out more then other attacks. Maybe that and a bad case of RNG making it seem otherwise?
