with that amount of stuff on you, a 1star wolf should still take like 5 or more hits to kill you, thats way enough time to regenerate stamina for the swings needed to kill it.

my advice. dont use tower shields, they block, but they cant parry.

succesful parry will stagger a mob, and open it up for increased damage taken during its duration.

but with your stats, you should be able to 2 or 3 hit kill it, regardless. wolves dont have a lot of hp, even as * mobs

No, quite the opposite. Bring your maxed silver shield and parry the wolf as parrying lets you block more damage.

Blocking is stamina based. You where probably low on stamina. Having good food and a rested buff and fight wolfs on even ground if possible is important

You must not have parried the wolf, since a max level silver shield can definitely parry 85-105 damage. If you aren’t parrying every attack with a non-tower shield (except for like super weak things and arrows), you’re doing it wrong.
