Misland? MOD please.....

Some info to help comprehend where I am and why.

I am 55, glasses since I was 5, untreatable astigmatism (eyes are shaped like a football for those unfamiliar. Look normal to you and I, but can't be repaired, only remediated to a point), left and right eye focus at 2 separate points.

The mist is unbearable. I have to assume other people with similar forms of astigmatism have the same issue. I have to turn the volume up to an inane level and the mist centralize your focus, so your slamming in to rock walls all day :)

The wisp is only useful if you "walk". The Gjall (I play with CCLC so some of those 5 star buggers...) are like invisible ninjas, raining down 2-5 star ticks, with the only 2 options to run like hell or start TRYING to jump up the side of a cliff.

Most games have a visual impaired mode these days.....most fail as well. I know MANY games IDEA of visual aide ...is larger text.

Give me a NO-MIST mode so I can enjoy and not despise this expansion please. I thought the swamp crypts were bad....yeesh

I don't want EZ mode, it's why I play with CCLC, but sticking me in a dark arena with a light that works for 5 feet, and tell me to kill or flee the bad guys I can't see, is not fun nor is it HARD-MODE...It's idiotic mode. Let those whose eyes don't drag them into zoning out staring at the mist while trying to run have mist. Let those of us who cannot play that expansion because of it CHOOSE to not have it.

I assume, HOPE, a mod will be released to address it as I doubt Valheim is going to, so this is an appeal to the community :)

I'm an old man with vision issues, too. Aside from the mods the guys mentioned above, one thing I do to games (Valheim included) is to use graphics filters and adjust the visuals to suit my limitations.
If you have an Nvidia card and use the GeForce Experience overlay, you can run the Game Filter mode. I use to sharpen the image and adjust the color density a little.
If that doesn't work, there are others like Reshade which do the same thing.
These aren't mods, but post-processing injectors that fiddle with the graphics as the game runs. Helps to tweak that smeared look some games have.

Use the mistbegone one, as mentioned.

Not only does it help vision, you can see how pretty the mistlands actually is.

I use better wisplight on Nexus. It doubles the wisp range by default, but you can set it up to increase it further. There are other mods out there too because this is a popular request.

DeezMistyBalls allows you to adjust the mist clearing radius of the wisplight.[valheim.thunderstore.io]
MistBeGone removes the mist completely.[valheim.thunderstore.io]

I've used both of these with no problems.

There are a few different mods just have to search for them. The MistBeGone on Thunderstore mods will remove it entirely.
