What is the biggest project you have been working on?

Right now, I'm trying to make a huge castle with a harbor and in the castle some sort of zoo with all types of creatures with some villages around it. What are your projects?

Constant improvement to the small church i started out with. Were hitting comfy levels that were thought to be impossible.

Usually the bases i make are ugly boxes with no soul, but im pretty proud of this one.

Im actually going the other way. I did a giant castle and got bored trying to find things to do in it to make it cooler. After a treasure room, trophy room, crafting rooms, kitchen, bedroom, portal room, storage room, farm, bathroom, hot tub/sauna, and still having about half of it left to fill I realized it was really just too big for me.

My new character is going very small. I have a 2 room, 5x4 big floor tiles home and am trying stuff everything into it. Exceptions are the obvious outdoor kiln/forges/farm/windmill type stuff and my fire pit is actually one floor tile outside the home to give it that side-mounted chimney look and design. I think the hot tub is going to give me troubles... everything else, I think will be ok

My latest project is restoring a Draugr Village with 2 very large temple houses, one of which was virtually intact, it even still had the stone throne on top of the dais. There are 4 smaller out-buildings and a square stone tower, which was also virtually completely intact. There is also a 3 level large stone tower on the north side sitting on the border to The Black Forest. To the northeast is a Plains biome. The island is divided in half by a large swamp, with a small swamp & mountain biome on the northern end, where I got our 2 star wolves. This is where we should have built our main HQ.

My son built a very large castle after we killed The Elder. I really wish we had not rushed to build a large HQ early in the game on the island where we spawned and started. It was quickly drained of resources, had no swamp or plains biomes, and its 1 of its 2 mountain biomes was small with only a few no star wolves (never even seen a single star wolf) and no silver, while the other did not even have wolves.

I am pretty sure a hot tub can be built outside and does not require a roof for its fire to stay lit. You could place it close to the wall near your bed to increase comfort level. The 2m horizontal wood beams placed on the ground with a 45 deg. wood roof cross placed on top, makes a very attractive fence.

good to know! I will give that a think... my outside area to the terrain walls is a bit cramped too. The fire port access on that thing is most annoying. I'd normally want the fire outside, tub inside but you need a way to get to the fire from inside so it always gets a little weird.

I build hot tubs against a completed wall and position it so the fire bin protrudes through the wall to the outside. A wood wall is thin enough, and hot tubs come with a lattice type piece allowing one to position it properly. Filling it with wood once a week or so is no biggy.

3 large builds going right now.

Spawn Island, it is becoming a large city

No room for Yagluth build. Almost done, I took over his sacrifice area.

From sea level to the sky castle. I found the largest mountain on great seed that is allowing me to build from the edge where the water meets the black forest to a point on a mountain so high up you can see the roundness of the world.

A keep and curtain wall with guard towers surrounding a settlement containing a tavern, an inn, the workshop, the farm, and a restaurant. It's all built across a river which is where the docks are located, and a part of the curtain wall bridges over the river.

Found a really cool island seed and began "free build" without exploring the map at all. When the game is ready, I will begin on an unspoiled map with an awesome base...sort of my own ng+. Base is awesome!

My biggest project was a folly tower. We have a large keep with several structures, but most were made of wood. The tower is only semi-functional. I use it as a personal base, and I built stone balconies to shoot from but it's mostly an aesthetic project. My friend in the same server made an incredible mountain lodge, and my partner made a functional "yurt" base/crafting area. None of this is terribly impressive compared to many builds, but we're happy with it. Our next project is a mountain castle.

Hoping to see screenshots from others - we're modest builders, but the stuff we see others make is incredible!

Currently making a tunnel that runs through a few rocks in the plains and then it winds up with a parapet. Most likely going to be building over a bit of the tunnel infrastructure that is showing above ground and expanding a side tunnel for a spare room of some kind.

So far have 2 stone fireplaces with chimneys inside the tunnel and a wood/crystal trophy wall partway up some stone stairs.

Eventually I'll add a larger stairway leading up to a small mountain hill for a fort/base. Already have a home on a small spit of land offshore which is quite cool.

I'll show some pictures here at some point.
