There are two towers within a reasonable walking distance of one another. One of them is about 6 storey's high (if I'm counting the stairs and not the levels.) and smaller than the other structure which is about the same height. I was able to renovate and furnish both of them. The larger structure needed more work to make it liveable though and it got half demolished by a troll ( I eventually got rid of the troll.) and rebuilt it replacing every missing rock with floor, wall and ceiling made from wood. The upper levels were still intact and it merely needed me to rebuild the adjoining stair ladder for me to have access to those upper levels where I kept the valuables in a chest. It looks very strange now, like a stone tower with a wooden building at it's ground level. Before I got to it there were three or four skeletons defending the place and they haven't re-spawned, but there is another troll nearby. The other tower had only one skeleton.

abandon towers or stone wrecked buildings in black forest are a only 1 time spawn monsters , if u kill them there will not even spawn there again , only if an evil bone spawner its there , but only are in stone buildings in the mountain these spawners

you mean a troll? of course they can. once u got rid of him and want to build inside, the workbench should prevent enemies from spawning inside its radius.

Most interactive objects you can build create a 20m no spawn zone. So stuff like beds, workbenches, furnaces, torches, campfires, fermenters, windmills, and sol forth. But not stuff like walls and roofs and doors. (doors are interactive but are considered simple structure elements.)

Those stone towers are usually in bad shape and you can't repair them until the next age up. I put stake walls and a trench around mine as an added precaution. The trench will keep trolls out, but they still have a long reach. A log wielding troll was still able to wreck my carrot garden from across a trench. Leave more room than you think you need.
