Idiots In Dire Need of Clarification for Modding
Me and a friend have been working our asses off to install mods into our game. My first question is if a dedicated server is required to run the mods and if not, could we just start up a world in multiplayer and join each other? I also wanted to know whether or not the players joining need to have the mods installed or if its just the host that needs them. We have been at this for hours and our brains are fried.

Hey ...this was my friends and I just a few weeks ago. The answer is depends ...
Currently, we use Valheim Plus and Epic Loot. All players have to have the mods but for Valheim Plus, the person who starts the server has control over the configurations to the files. For Epic Loot, everyone has to have the mod and configs matching. I would suggest that when whoever creates the files, create a share file and distribute copies to the group. Then place the files into the appropriate folders. Good Luck!

Also, Epic Loot Bounties will not work on a dedicated server currently ...at least we could not get it to work after many hours of trial and error. I does work on a community server.
