I'm using an Elite Series 2 and if I turn it on after Valheim starts it never gets detected by the game. So that solution didn't work for me.

I just picked up the game today, and upon installing it this is the first thing I experience: my elite controller's triggers are swapped.

Problem here is I don't want to disable the steam input because I like being able to re-map my paddles in the steam config. So this is kind of a bummer.

EDIT: Okay turning the controller off and on after starting the game makes everything work as expected. Still, odd solution.

I use a wired PS4 controller so I do not know if this will help you but this happens to me most of the time when I log in. It is easily fixed by unplugging the controller and plugging it back in after I get in game. Take 2-3 seconds. Started happening shortly before H&H came out and before that it was always fine. Hope this helps. In case you are wondering my PC is not blue tooth capable.

This has been reported in the bug report sub-forum by a couple of people and seems to be regardless of controller or connection type. For the most part, I just have to remember to start the game first and the controller after, but sometimes it happens during gameplay as well.
