about 2 years and still we gotta lose levels when we die...
what's the point of losing a level when we die?
it's not funny since it takes so long to level up. losing 5% is too much and not having an option to ajust this in a server is dumb.
why do we have to use mods to a simple job that a single person or 2 could do by themselves?
just add a controller to the 5% level loss and put an option to not drop items when we die.
i'll keep using we mod then.

I suspect this is something you'll have to keep using mods for. While I agree these things should be options, I suspect the devs intentionally chose to leave them out so that dying would be more punishing, as part of their "vision" for the game.
IMO, skill loss on death should be adjustable, not just for people that want it lower, but also for the masochists that want it higher. Some people play permadeath runs, so I'm sure there's a number of people who would like to see a difficulty between that and the default 5% skill loss.
