Wraiths occasionally scare the hell out of me, they're almost always sneaking up behind me and they're pretty silent until they slap you in the back of the head. The only hint you have they're about to get you in the dark is the lighting changes since they glow blue, so now as soon as the ground starts changing colors I jump and run to get a better position.
FYI: Their trophy makes a pretty nice robe decoration for your sauna room.

You do know you can roll to throw them off?

troll....with a tree for a club. He used my character as a golf ball once. Funny death, now they scare me.

Yea probably this. Having a few seconds of lag due to the game saving when I'm in the thick of a fight and desperately hoping I don't get thwacked to death.

I don't often see scary things in Valheim, because if I hear a scary thing I run and don't look back! :D

One time it was the raven (that loud woom noise can be scary in the dark when you're scouting the edge of a biome that's above your pay grade). Another time it was a sea serpent while I was on a raft, swam instead of ran that time.

I always dread my early forays into the swamp in any game cycle; apparently it may be a hardware limitation of my monitor, but I'm nearly blind during the day and have a hell of a time getting my bearings at night.

Couple this with the ominous sound of an abomination getting up nearby and I've found myself frantically trying to flee to high ground while trying to figure out where the bloody thing is. At night, they always show up as black silhouettes in the dark for me, so I struggle with fighting them for a good long while until I can facetank them properly.

The latest playthough I had on a server, the main swamp we were getting our Iron from has SO MANY spawn points for them, it was horrendous.

a 2 star tick that the game spawned on top of me due to spawn correction inside a mine. it was above the roof. it had spawn immunity apparently. 3 spin to wins didnt dmg it at all while it was on me. then i died. came back. 1 shot it with the same move with a reserve weapon. definitly a bug.

2 star soldiers are INSANELY rare. i have seen like 1 in all my mistlands time. 2 star seekers are more dangerous imo. as they come at you quicker and are harder to avoid. meanwhile rocks hardcounter soliders.

2 star elite draugrs are total tanks aswell. even with mistlands weapon they take a few hits before going down.

The first time I was exploring the mountains at night and I heard a howl of that werewolf creature (I forget its name), I had no idea what made that sound and a blizzard had just moved in and then this wolf creature just jump on me out of nowhere! Seriously I ♥♥♥♥ My Pants!

Probably the Cultists. I thought they were gonna be OP, but I murdered them. I was also in fully upgraded padded armor.

There's something unnerving about gazing leviathan into eyes in the middle of night...
