GPU Intense

This game is one of the hottest game in my library, pushing my GPU up to 76 celsius. It normally doesn't go over 65 in other intense games. I tryed to turn off pretty much everything in the game settings but nothing has an impact except lowering resolution which has a very tiny effect. I also tryed to restrict fps in nvidia control panel but that's really not the issue since the game sits at a stable 50-60fps so... yeah, wth?

CPU load is very low too, around 20%.

Ryzen 7 1800x
Nvidia 1060 6gb
32 gb RAM

Odin and Thor are busy using your computer to mine Bitcoin, don't mind them.

But really, there's not much solutions.

its a mix of two major things + whatever number of smaller issues:
- the game isn't done and is likely nowhere near optimal
- your card is dated, and newer stuff is going to demand that it work harder to keep up. Its a 2017ish era card, and nearing the end of its lifecycle.

it does not matter. In the default setup (not overclocked, fan working, case well ventilated) it can run at max capacity all day for years. If you think it is too hot, you can check those 3 key points, blow the dust out, validate the airflow, check the fans, etc.

Water cooled loop would work, my Evga 3090 ftw ultra with max graphic settings on a g9 5120x1440 240hz monitor maxes out at 43c with this game, Valheim runs about 5c hotter than 90% of my games.
With the 1060 I would not advise you spending your money on a water block, do what Jonnin suggests and I always find setting a fixed fan when gaming is better than a curve.
