Continuous Visits from Troll Solicitors

If the title does not give enough context, I have recently beaten the elder and have killed many, MANY trolls before I did that. After the elder had been beaten I got a dreaded event I was preparing an IMMENSE amount of time for... "The Ground is Shaking". I had built a neat little ditch and wall and did moderately well in defending my base (I do need to add some height to the walls still) and completed the raid.

A few in game days pass and I get my second post elder raid. This one was called...
"The Ground is Shaking"
Yet more troll solicitors arrived to preach about their business ideas of removing my base off the landscape. I dispatched them with relative ease.

Another few in game days later and I get my third event. This one was named....
"The Ground is Shaking"
I think to myself, "Maybe I should put up a sign, because these annoying trolls don't seem to be stopping in coming here."
This one was pretty bad. Two trolls with clubs somehow sneaked over my wall (It is a pretty bad wall so they simply pushed one another into the base) and they wrecked half of my cook house. I removed them from my land and rebuilt with effectiveness.

Another few days later, I am renovating my bridge to accommodate my longboat so that it may travel under the bridge without troubles and that I may still cross over the river.
I was then hit with another event on the other side of the bridge that luckily had no buildings.
This event was.....
"A foul smel-
NOPE

Trolls.....

Again.....

This is my FOURTH mob raid event after beating the elder and ALL FOUR raids have been BLOODY TROLLS.
I absolutely cannot STAND THIS anymore. Does anybody have a fix for this? Is something wrong with my game? Do trolls simply wish to demolish my home to build their large office buildings so they may proceed with their master plan to inevitably crash the stock market?
(please help) Thank you.

Tame 2-star wolves and breed them around your base. They will kill all mobs that dare to come close. Once a day you run around an collect all the drops they leave, leaving the meat for them to breed further. But please watch a YT video on taming 2-star wolves because it is a bit different than taming a single star or no star wolves. That is my strategy for the base defense. Now after hundreds of ingame days i have more than 50 2-star wolves wandering around in the woods :)

Still haven't gotten "you are being hunted" either but I don't think I'll complain about that one, they'd probably turn me into a chew toy lol.
"you are being hunted" is only available in plains and mountain biome. And its super easy. All you have to do is find a medium high rock (1 - 1.5 meters high) and hop on it. The wolves cannot reach you and you can reach them with bow or smash them with two handed hammer (stagbreaker or iron sledge).

I personally use knives on the trolls. Knife and Buckler or Knife and heavy shield later on. The thing hits so fast and has a surprisingly strong parry. And its leap attack is really powerfull as well as low stamina costs for its damage.

Just a heads up; if your animal pens don't have a roof those drakes will ignore everything else and immediately kill all of your tames. They do brutal damage against soft targets.

Not a huge issue. My boar pen is in one of my forward bases were I could actually find starred boars reliably. I spend most my time at the first/main base where I already murdered my no star boars after realizing just plain hunting was more efficient lol. Although the only 2 drake attacks I did have, have happened 1) as I was pulling into the dock for the main base with my poor karve limping from rough seas and ruthless serpents, and 2) at the tiny cart cottage I have in the forest for copper mining lol. So they basically only happen when it's least convenient.

I had the Hoard Event last night. Now I've had this Event lots of times and it's always been an easy items grab but last nights Event was different, I was punted off my platform and landed in a group of Fulings, as I died to their blows all I could hear was their chuckling. Now this punt was new to me and when I thought more about it the only answer i could come up with was that it must have been a Fuling Shaman, have these little guys got a new ability or had I just not encountered this punt before from them?. Anyway I need to watch out for this new tactic in the future.

@ op, if the Trolls are attacking your Main Base then I would dig a ditch around it, make sure the ditch is a good distance from your Walls or else their Rock Throw skill will smash them, also this will stop the attackers from other Events from wrecking your base + all attackers are easy to kill as they stand still at the side of the ditch. Level your Bow skill as fast as you can for Bows kill Trolls very fast with no danger to yourself.

The troll raid does seem way more common than the swamp one, though that could be just RNG. I think I've seen a grand total of three "foul smell" raids, ever, and 10+ troll raids.

But yeah, trolls don't take long to kill at that point in the game.

Take your bronze weapons and visit some troll caves (if you haven't yet). The troll caves force you to fight them in melee. This will build your confidence as they are very killable in melee, and in a shockingly short timeframe. With your new troll-slaying skills you should be able to kill troll raids before they even get near your base.
I have never fought trolls in a cave with melee. I just go in shoot it with a few arrows, run out, wait a bit, rinse and repeat.

With a lvl 2-3 bronze buckler and any lvl 2+ bronze weapon you can kill one in 5 seconds with melee. Parry, spam attacks for crit damage, crit damage causes a second stun state, profit.

Take your mining pick and dig at least 2 basic wood building pieces deep all araund your base. Now trolls and other raids cant reach you (well slimes can jump over the hole and trolls can trow rocks).

Seems to me they can come in waves. Currently, I've fought off my 3rd or forth "Skeleton Surprise". Before that, I was getting hit with several "You are being hunted". And yes, I've been hit with "The Ground is Shaking" 2-3 times in a row.
