Can I keep my world? (DEVELOPER ANSWER WELCOME)

The Devs said that sometimes you maybe need a new world if they update biomes or add them. They cave update requires unexplored areas to generate caves in the snow and mistlands already exists just without content right? So my question is can I keep the world I had from the beginning and get all the new stuff coming/relased from the caves update+mists and can I make a new world RIGHT NOW for the new mistlands or do I have to wait for the mistland update? Would be cool if a DEV can tell me for sure but any other answer would be nice too if it contains facts :P

No, actually, that's not what he's referring to, I think. Rather, the slew of unfounded assumptions you make. What you mean to say is one thing, but what you actually say is something different. It's kind of hard to get that straight when you're ranting at someone. It's a bit amusing, actually. If the OP had actually been rude or demanding, that would be fair, but he wasn't. He just asked for information. 'Deal with it' is not really a relevant response to that.
Ranting? No stating facts. If you perceive it as rude, fine, doesn't change the facts.

About mistlands, we don't really know how that will be handled.

The last update, with the frost caves, is as described - if you've explored (or gone near) an area, it's 'locked in', but if you haven't been there or in the vicinity, it has the new stuff. So, starting a new world isn't really necessary CURRENTLY.

Mistlands might be handled the same way. It might not. We don't know. I think that if at all possible it won't require a restart.

However, even if you do restart, you can keep your character, and take enough with you to make the new start quite easy -- and you can make the new world with the old seed so it will feel nice and familiar - yet different.

You can also explore the new world with the old character, find out if you like it, and go back to the old one. That's the nice thing with easy character portability.

I would just like to say, that you purchased a game in EA status. When making this purchase you should have understood that when new material comes out it may change or break your world and you will have to start over. That is part of buying an EA game. Deal with it.

not really, new stuff will spawn in unexplored areas after an update.
you shouldn't miss out on anything if you continue on the same map, you will just have to explore new areas to see the new stuff.

Well, that was more on the ambiguity about first not wanting to lose the buildings, and then next they don't care about losing them. ;)

unexplored areas will have new stuff when the game updates, so areas like the mistlands should be fine since you have no reason to explore them currently, but they might add new things to older areas as well.
if they add something like new dungeons or whatever to meadows then you would have to find an unexplored meadows to see the new stuff.

You probably will need a new world, since new stuff can't really be pushed onto explored areas without having maybe adverse effects on the player. Especially when they've already modified it extensively.

That said, there is a mod that allows players to un-explore places they've already... explored.

Not sure if you want to use such a thing, though.

I just created the same seed again. Was ok, since I still had to beat Bonemass at that time. Now, preparing for Yagluth, I would just keep my world and see what comes out of it. I can always create a new world to explore new content with my big character.
