play mistlands public test or wait for official content release?

A friend and I have been planning to revisit Valheim when Mistlands is available. Should we play the public test now or wait for the official version (playing both probably won't happen as we'll no life the game for like a week and then move on to other things). Has there been any kind of word on how long before the official version? If it's not long then we might just wait, but if it's like "we're going to test for 3 months before dropping it" then we might go ahead. Anybody have info?

some mods work. Unfortunately Valheim + doesnt.

A quick, neat answer, thank you, it is much appreciated. I'll just wait for the release of mistlands and start over.

Yes if you play on your friend's test server (or anyone else' test server) and he or she deletes it, sure you'll lose your progress, and that doesn't matter if you have the update or not. But why would you do that? Just use your own computer and keep your progress (or use a common server and don't delete it).

Me and my friends started again, but we won't play on PTR, only when it comes to live version, in the mean time we started all over and are slowly progressing, and trying not to explore too much because when it comes alive we will have a "fresh" experience for the mistlands

play public test to help test the actual game dude.. not to play with mods because you wont be much of a help at all towards finding bugs if mods are involved

Yes they do work, you bought the game, play it how you want. Don't let someone else tell you waht to do. Modding the game or not, its still the actual game. Enjoy!

If you're going to gen a new world anyhow probably just go for it on public test.

If you want to use an existing world maybe wait as it sounds like things can get a little goofy with old maps currently.

If you're comfortable with early access games, then play the latest version available to the public, the Public Test version, and a potentially buggy/unbalanced version of Mistlands. If minor bugs and imbalances infuriate you, then best to wait for the official release of this game in a year or so, which will contained a polished version.

Someone understanding me !
I've been trying VALHEIMPlus but it seems like it's not working
( Had it installed on the "normal" version of the game > switched to public branch with the mods still installed, what i mean here is i did not uninstall the mods then reinstalled them on the public branch )

I have been playing on the public test server on an old world for about 3-4 days now and have had no problems on my end. I've been sucked back into the grind and I am not complaining

Same question I got. I see they posted an FAQ today that says somewhere between a couple of days and couple of weeks before it becomes official, and if you've played on the test branch you can merge back to public when it goes live.

Having done some solo playing with a creative mode mod on, nothing seemed to be broken or crash-y, but then I mostly just fiddled with the new building parts for a bit.
