What is the tentative release date or roadmap?

What is the roadmap for what content the developers are working towards in order to make Valheim feature complete?

Pretty much more of everything you see. More building pieces, more food, more weapons, more armor, more enemies, at least 2 more biomes with their own bosses.

As for release date, nobody knows, including the developers.

1.0 is years away, not months.

Ok I see. So basically two more biomes with bosses in order to complete the overall vision, and then more content from there.

Did they actually say full release was years off?

It's really hard to know when to jump into a game with these long early access developments, if you want to experience the developers vision of what the experience should be. I guess some don't really have one and more or less make it up as they go. I'd prefer to have some clear signal from the devs that that everything there is working as intended. That's what a 1.0 release normally does atleast.

They've been working on Mistlands since February, so maybe one biome a year with two more to go, plus whatever else it needs to be ready.

definitely:
-continued mistlands support and balance. this is a big update.
-ashlands biome, and support
-deep north biome, and support

maybe:
-oceans biome
-some kind of further "end game" mechanic that activates after deep north

probably not:
-edge of the world biome (hehe)
-Yggdrasil biome

i'd say we are about 2 years away from 1.0, minimum. will deep north signal 1.0? we really dont know. it might not be this black and white finish line, biome #8. it might be a little more complicated than that.
