Hi,
with the hearth and home update I gave the game another look. I started a new world with a character from a prvious play. The character in question was equiped with iron armor, an iron shield and axe and had some building resources with him.

I started in the meadows with abolutely no explenation from the two ravens (I guess this is due to not starting a fresh character). So I created a home, had a look the food aviable, figured out that we can now better see which food is which, that different types of food give different bonuses to hp, stamina and regeneration rate. Fine, although it seems my character now has less hp then before the update.

On the other hand I did not find any new recipies and as I wanted to figure those out in the game and not go through several websites to do research before actually playing I went along and tried to find the black forest biom to be able to create a forge.

And then the game stopped, because out of the woods came a troll who insta-killed me.
So...one can not actually enter the black forest any more? When even a character with gear much above average is instantly killed by the creatures there, how should someone advance in this territory now?

Is there some special super-hero potion I missed, or is this some kind of dark souls 'git gud' thing? How am i supposed to cope with an enemy, which was indeed strong before but now is unkillable especially when I imagine getting there just with a flintaxe and some leather armor.
