Why did devs remove dev commands?
As someone who is very fond of mods overall on all types of games, simple admin commands should not be a mod in my opinion, and it wasent, untill they removed it. Some one here might have read something about them mentioning it and I just wanna know why? Why can't I use admin commands on my own server?

Maybe because it's still possible jumping across the servers with all your gear.For some reason, I forgot about this. This would explain it.
so someone could still cheat himself a cheat-sword and cause havok on other servers

As I understand it you can also remotely inject plain text commands into a server from outside the game and it'll treat them as coming from its own console. A properly secured command UI for server owners and admins would be so much more secure than this ad-hoc pile of mods and hacking tools.

I used the Server Dev Commands[valheim.thunderstore.io] mod on two of our last seeds. One was a "cheat" seed where I was allowing everyone to use dev-commands because it was just being used in a build contest. On the main world, I had it enabled for me building stuff for my players.

They didnt remove them, it was a typo on my part, its just cheat commands is disabled, even with cheats enabled, you are unable to use devcommands (on dedicated server atleast).
I'm not sure this was recent.
That is cheating on a whole new level, it makes me wonder how much anarchy can be done with it.

We've never been able to use commands on servers without mods to unlock it. It does seem daft but it's nothing new.

They didnt remove them, it was a typo on my part, its just cheat commands is disabled, even with cheats enabled, you are unable to use devcommands (on dedicated server atleast).on dedicated servers that would be called cheating to a whole new level
