To surpass the swamp, you must become... the swamp. You'll need to accept being wet constantly. You'll need to be so patient that moss will begin to grow on your face. And you'll need to dress yourself up in roots to gain resistance to poison or turn the swamp resources into refreshingly greenish-tint mead. Actually if you have the root mask (from killing a couple of abominations, and get better weapons and armor, the swamps are a walk in the park. With my equipment I casually walking through the swamps killing everything in sight, nothing poses a danger to me.

And that's generally the case with these biomes Once you can survive the next level biome you'll find the previous one a piece of cake.

I have a lot of fun in the swamp

swamp is really easy? To make it even easier, get some poison resistance potions. Nothing can harm you if you keep running, except for the wraith maybe sometimes but they're really squishy. I recommend using a mace as it kills blobs/slimes in 1-2 hits. Make sure you're using proper food and equipment at the level you're at so that you dont die fast and if you're struggling, maybe stick to using bow&arrow.

The swamps are great fun! It's You who needs to improve.

In the beginning swamp can be hard, but after you have skilled up your char you will find that being in swamp is just a pure enjoyment.
But skill up your bow and sword if you have it, and later on you will get even better weapons.

it's a welcome challenge...leas t favorite biome for sure, but feel a sense of accomplishment when I progress out.
