ive played through the game a few times.

The Valheim Plus mod adds two hotkeys, one for "roll forward" and one for "roll backward". The roll forward one goes in which ever direction you are pressing w/a/s/d, so I found it to be perfect.

I started using the mod yesterday JUST for that feature, as I find the combined keypress requirement for it in the game to be too cumbersome (for me) to be reliable.

Heh, roll that isn't a pain in the ass to use, what a novel concept.

thanks. I also wounder if there is a mod that increases stamina regen?
because the slow and painfull stamina regen, even with rested buff is absolutely unnesesairy.

Valheim Plus does A LOT OF STUFF including stam regen.. I increased my regen by 50%. and made the delay 0. You can also config individual stam drains for instance I made swimming and jumping to reduces stam consumption by 50% and the hammer, hoe and cultivater use 0 stam now.

I'm all for making quality of life changes but messing with the stamina system completely throws off the entire combat balance of the game.

Why you gotta be so heavy handed? =/

His game to play how he wants it, though I do agree with you...specifically regarding changing the delay and regen rate.

Changing swimming, hammer, hoe and cultivator, on the other hand, don't impact combat at all. Unless you make a habit of engaging enemies the second you jump out of the water.

The combat system in valheim is MID
Fighting against mobs just boils down to parrying and having enough hp / armour to tank damage.
I want to make the roll action more viable and therefore make a glass canon strategy more viable.
Because a naked man running around with a greatsword dodging attacks is alot more fun than a fat man with steel armour eating all the damage.
Glass canon playstyle in any game that you can will almost always make the game more skill based and more fun.

I'd rather have dual wielding of small weapons than a greatsword, but I agree beyond that point. The stamina system in the game definitely leaves room for improvement if you prefer that kind of approach to combat.
I've been hesitant to tweak it so far though, as I'm still (very) new to the game.

I already did adjust the stamina usage for non-combat tools and activities though. I loath game mechanics whose sole purpose is to intentionally waste my time.

Mod, or autohotkey. I'm not sure if there is a mod for it. If you search the forum for dodge and/or autohotkey you'll probably find advice from this issue previously discussed.
