Posts like this make me feel good about my viking adventures :) I won't be seeing many of y'all in Valhalla muahaha! But good luck, there's tons of tips and tricks in these forums and videos online.

Just curious, but given the seemingly vast majority of players can deal/recover from raids why would you think they are broken and need to be 'fixed'?

It's in the same state, because it's intended to be that way. Hope you weren't waiting for them to make this more easy mode then it already is.

i mean creative mode will be nice so that you got unlimited Stamina and what so ever to build instead of useing cheatcode and commands

why add something you have free access too with cheats already anyway? waste of dev time and resources clearly.

Wasn't they camping your bed make it a lot easier, because you can just corpse run again and again and again and again and again and again until they are drop dead?

They usually will leave when the raid ends, but this is a gradual thing as they wander around and aggro other things. Problem you're experiencing is that they're aggro'd to your bed, and maybe a few other base items. So, they kill you, then in the time between you dying and the game de-rendering them, they stick around to attack your bed, then you respawn, then they kill you, and so on.

Eventually, they'll break everything and go away, but it might be worth it to load into the world with a different character to give them a few moments to do their thing if you just want them to leave. Cap'in Bells advice is pretty good too; get out of the cycle, build up your strength somewhere else, and come back for vengeance.

Going forward, use this experience to help you figure out how to design a defensible game; base building is a large part of this game.

Good tips here if you don't have back up gear. I keep a chest specifically for body recovery, complete with my last weapon/bow/armor and food/potions.

So....

What's keeping you from killing those mobs?
Raid mobs come in numbers, but over time they will aggro at the creatures at your base's biome; thus making them weaker and therefore easier for you to kill them.

If you can't kill them, but still have all your gear; run away from them to try to break the line of sight. When they stop chasing you, start a new base where you are able to survive longer. Which means, trench, (dirt) walls and spawn prevention. Make sure you got better equipment as well, before going back to your old base and smack the crap out of those monsters.
When that's done, simply loot everything important and live at your better defendable base.


If all of that isn't possible, create a new character and start over.

nothing to fix here. classic of tc progressing too far while beeing underprepared at the same time. make sure your base has proper defenses next time. then enemies will never even reach your bed.

destroy your bed if you must.. it will spawn you at game start location. Or run away asap and build and sleep in a new bed location.. build strength up and regain your gear from where they are camping.. Game isnt at all in same state as 2years ago imho
