The circlet is the best light in the game I think. The new lantern is a cleaner solution but the light is very dim. There are a dozen things that glow (potions, yellow shroom, some trophies, ...) that people were using for no fuel lights before the new items.

last time i played i am pretty sure the dwarf eye standing torch wasn't available, some great additions

I think you just discorved a nice money sink.

I was already considering to stop looting gold and gems because of having too many.
And that's "before" having defeated Bone(less)mass in my current play through.

I was very disappointed that the Yule hat won’t go on the stand

Next try putting one on a vertical item stand, I've heard they make great spotlights.
