Ashlands....

Currently it has good amounts of coal, a metal that is useless, and mobs running around. My question to you is, what else do you think may go here some day?

It will probably look similar to the Epic Valheim 3.0 mod pack version of the ashlands.

The Ocean I believe. Perhaps with a "midgard serpent" type boss.

I have a strong hunch that it will be surtur, or something inspired by surtur. The current enemies in the ashlands are literally called surtlings so i wouldn't say that thinking Surtur will be the boss for ashlands, to be far off from reality. Regardless, which biome is even meant to be the final one in terms of progression ?

Fire giants, with swords, and the boss, a bigger fire giant, with a sword.

i think we first need a desert biome to the south before having a volcano biome in the south pole, the transition is to jarring now

The guy smoking the cigar that's making all that ash.

[edit]: seriously though... Fire giants, maybe fire breathing dragons, a cross between Godzilla and a piranha... ok not so sure the last fits.

I have my stacks of flametal on a friends server waiting.

I think there should be dragons that breath fire. I think (as a previous poster stated) there should be pools and/or rivers of lava, or even volcanoes. You'll probably need fire resistance just to visit (similar to mountains and cold).

Building with ordinary wood will likely fail, You'll need stone based structures.

Fires will burn out faster , if even a possibility, etc etc.
