I rate the claim false. Upon testing, wood poles are actually slightly higher.

All items with debugmode were discarded in the ocean. We enjoy getting the items.

This video is only part of a very large project, I could not find the video of an insanely huge castle that did this technique to go very high.

he is saying to embed them for support, not for defense. So you can build higher towers.
