How to cancel update ?

I installed item mods which added a breeze of fresh air when the game has already become outplayed and monotone to me and i want to keep playing what ive been playing and not install these mediocre updates that dont even change anything to begin with

i currently see no other option but "update queued" when i just want to press the play button

Set Steam to offline mode, and wait for the mods to update before allowing it back online.

edit; nevermind, tooltips broken and ugh.. back to the same old and wait for real updates

Right click game, properties, betas, drop down to default old. Play until mods are updated

That worked up until yesterday, but the new update that just dropped means "default_old" is the update from two weeks ago... which is also broken.

welp, thats the last drop then

i had a bit of fun killing stuff ive killed a hundred times over already for a chance at rarity loot drops with epic loot mod but now everything is all about crafting
