What happened to aggro ranges

A lox is chasing me up a mountain 200-300m from where it came from. Is there a mod to adjust this? this is ridiculous, and i don't recall it being this bad in the past.

They also seem to run away more/faster when they get low on health, which makes them a bit more work to take down with a bow.

Yes. They became upset at mind control cloudberries being thrown at them from the top of boulders

Yeah
I used to be chased by two trolls, I ran away to the boat I'm sailing away... and they're still chasing me on the bottom
It's little ridiculous.

And other times I can sneak attack something right next to me that I was casually running at, and it was staring at me. Granted greydwarfs are pretty dumb, but still.

Lox need to leash at some point. There's no solution to one once agro'd while solo. I shouldn't be endlessly pursued by an enemy that is wild fauna. Fix this.

Yeah, the "pursue forever" is a bit ridiculous for all the mobs. Breaking their line of sight seems to work pretty well for me. Duck around something and sneak away or take another angle when they can't see you. They tend to go toward the last spot they saw you.
Leading them to other mobs is fun, tho. Take some lox to the tar pits and let them fight it out. Abomination vs Troll is my favorite fight so far.

Lox and Boar does this if you don't get away from them fast enough. This is because they are tamable. Gives you the chance to guide them to a pen.

Lox used to only aggro at point blank range, but they are smart and after being farmed for a year by hungry vikings, have become hostile.
they are hard to deal with. Get 3 of them on you and run, they destroy every tree, building, rock, etc that you try to run through and it barely slows them. Getting out of LOS Is tricky when they wipe out all the obstacles! Terrain exploits work if you can get out of reach up a slope they can't climb, then get behind an obstacle they can't reach and sneak, they will go away. Otherwise, just kill them for food, though I admit that 3 at a time can be more trouble than worth.

You can agro anything as far as you want to. If you get far enough away it will lose interest, and that range seems to shrink with distance from the home location of the mob, but you have to get out of that range.

I think the lox has gotten faster with the latest update, and therefore more difficult to shake, so that me by what you're experiencing?
