thunderstorms are a little insane on my single player map

playing vanilla, no mods. I havent even gone to look for mods because i think we should learn the vanilla game before we mess with it. that being true, I am having issues with the weather. there are hurricane force driving rainstorms with hail every single day that take up all but 2-3 mins of the day cycle. I am early game, just defeated eikthyr. still building my home and not going out after dark often. Is there anything I can do that will space these storms a bit? I love to watch the storms, but cannot really get anything useful done when these gullywashers are happening every day for two weeks (in game time).
self built ryzen rig, AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.50 GHz /16.0 GB RAM/ Win 10. she huffs n puffs but she plays smooth.

it's high rng, when you get a dry run you will miss them, but yeah it can get intense when it's day after day also hahaha
I know it seems like it, but it's not actually RNG at all. The weather patterns across all seeds are the same.

See this nifty tool[jerekuusela.github.io] to check what your weather will be. (I have noticed that some times are off by an hour [in-game] or so, but it's mostly accurate.)

ok that is really nifty. but that is not what i am having on my map. Cool though, thanks for showing it.

It's sometimes off by an hour (in game) or so, but it's still quite accurate. Tested across five seeds so far; the pattern is same on all of them.

Here you go. You can forecast the weather because the weather patterns are the same for EVERY seed.

^ This. Very much this.

Just go for a cruise on a raft at night when there is a storm on, really therapeutic stuff.

Also this, though I prefer a karve over a raft.

Hail? Just sleep at night to pass the time and you might get into some clear days quicker. Get used to managing the wet buff now and you'll get prepared for the swamp

so... you're saying this is a feature , not a coding issue? lol I was just wondering if everyone has the same issues. seems like it might be so. The game is still in development, right? some fine tuning can still happen, I hope. Otherwise, we need to talk to Thor and get him to calm the heck down.
