Delete your character and start over. Then go online and talk about how elite you are because you play permadeath. Always makes me feel better.

resist potions are a must in the swamps. Kill most of your query with a bow and arrow from a great distance. patience is key. You can literally kill every enemy in the swamp (except the boss) with ever being touched just using a bow. Just drain the swamp, one enemy at a time and get your sheet. Oh, and wait out the night. Their some real boogymen popping out then.

Poison resist potions, Bow tier 1 max level or tier 2 one or two levels in is fine and a tier one shield at max level could be useful. Do not really need to have armor but if you have extra hide that works fine.

If you want to cheese it somewhat you can set up a bed just outside the swamp and spam crafting stations or any item you want that suppresses spawns as you move to get you're corpse. I just happen to like crafting stations myself. if you place them above the ground only the archers can take them out.

You will have to clear way to corpse and any noises you make can and will attract unwanted mobs in the area just keep eyes open and pick them off with bow take time working way to corpse and you should be fine. Also take note of time of day it is much more easy to deal with the swamp during the day then night.

One last tip if you bring a hoe you can flatten the ground as you move through the swamp to help avoid leeches note that doing this will create noise and will attract mobs so keep eyes open when you do this. Stop every so often and look around clearing any mobs that are moving to you. You do not in anyway need to do this, but I find doing this along with dropping spawn suppression items helps loads with farming locked crypts and or just farming and messing around in the swamp.

How do I make poison resist pots and where do I get the mats?

Also I guess I need to do some farming. Any recommended guides on that?

You will need a Cauldron to make Mead base: Poison resistance and you will need Fermenter for to mead to make Poison resistance mead

Mats for mead are: Honey x10, Thistle x5, Neck tail x1 Coal x10

Mats should be fairly easy to get with little farming each batch of poison resists pots makes 6 potions duration is 600s

You'll be clicking on the cauldron- you should be able to see recipes there, look for mead base recipe.

You use mats in the Cauldron to make the mead base then you will need to place the mead base in the Fermenter after and wait about a game day give or take.

couple of options, or any combination
1. re-prepare. go thru the time and effort of regathering all mats to have same gear as b4
2. drop a portal as close as possible. run in grab and go.
3. beds as close as possible.
4. go with best meads and food and do a naked speed run.
5. kite a troll in there
6. get help from someone (i'll give a hand if you like)
7. cheat i.e. use devcommands to spawn in stuff

resistance potions help
prefer food with health regeneration to stamina
use stamina potions, tasty mead when wet
make tree bridges

If all hope is lost and your ready to cry, it's okay just activate god mode, get your stuff, log out go for a smoke and convince yourself you were justified for what you did and then continue playing.
