Too excited for Mistlands and super impatient.

I need this in my lifeeeeeeeeee, How can i help? Patience is not my thing. I blame you, the Dev's of Valheim for making too good of a game. :/

My God. They never promised anything. Please show me ONE time in anything they have ever released, statements-wise, where they used the word promise. I'll wait.

Yes, the updates are disappointingly slow. I agree on that. But they had roadmaps of what they would like to include. They never promised any of it. So goes EA titles. Things can change in the fly.
Yeah. I think the problem is that the devs put out a road map from the start, people see that without really understanding what a road map is and just think of it as a promise or a deadline. That's not how it works.

Road maps show goals and directions, and they can be reviewed and updated as needed along the way. It's a way to show what devs are working towards and hope to accomplish. It's not at all a "promise."

I get you and others may be impatient and have expectations from games that have larger teams and outsource their work as well and cannot ground your expectations accordingly.

You want more, we get it. You're not going to get the pace you want and will remain upset. We get that too.

There are plenty of folks fine with their pace because they bought this game in a more grounded manner from a 10 member dev team and didn't subscribe to the hype thinking erroneously this was a Triple A studio pumping out significant content every month.

Acting like years in EA is a rarity is also a bit silly. Games stay in EA for years. Ark was in EA for 2 years, and didnt really have a dev team for the first year solidly either(they had 3 outsourced studios making the game and even the first dlc(scorched earth was 97% done by one such studio in tandem with the work else wise for the first year). Games also dont enter EA and still present content slowly over time too.

baldurs gate 3 will be in EA indefinetly according to the devs. and they have a huge team at larian. maybe that has changed since i last checked though. i've waited 20 years for BG3 =. i don't know what the delays are about though. was supposed to release this past march. but my point is sometimes these games do stay in EA for more than a few months or a year

"It is done, when it's done." a wise man once said.

About Eikthyr: Max your deer armor (not 4, 3 is good enough), get a lvl 3 wooden round shield, a lvl 3 flint axe, eat up on boar, deer and honey and wack that silly wanker.

You'll be done within five minutes. You need to learn to use "block" efficiently, of course.

I was (and am) quite forgiving that the game blew up way bigger than they thought it would, and the success both put them under a microscope AND flooded them with money, so their roadmap got delayed as they bug squashed and understandably enjoyed some of their success....

But yeah. They are going much slower than I thought they would after the year mark and I am getting a big disappointed at the speed of content production.

I am still a huge fan of the game and very much looking forward to the remaining content they have envisioned.

A dev weeks ago posted that there is a 6-9 month turn around between feature releases. So you're looking (very roughly) at -potentially- mistlands being between september and december of this year. I'd conservatively look towards the december side of the spectrum on that.

It'll come when it comes. There's no need to work yourself up/fret over it really.

If it really releases that late people will be pissed that it took a year and a half for 1 biome.

If they were ignorant of 2 major updates going on between that by a team of 10 people, then that's a user end issue really.
