Early Access terms

How about complience with your own promises (road map) or at least Early Access terms?

What roadmap?

Early Access:
"Its up to the developer to determine when they are ready to 'release'. Some developers have a concrete deadline in mind, while others will get a better sense as the development of the game progresses. You should be aware that some teams will be unable to 'finish' their game. So you should only buy an Early Access game if you are excited about playing it in its current state."

@Suzaku, again: maybe it worth to update the description/promises? I understand that a game can be in EA state for a pretty long time.

Isn't that what they've done? There is no roadmap and the expected timeframe is current.

Googling "valheim roadmap" can help you.

Isn't it roadmap with wasted time? https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Roadmap.jpg

And "counting from January 2023" is worth to be updated in May 2023.

My friend, I’d like to introduce you to 7 Days to Die.

Early Access since… I don’t even remember. 2013 or something.

Broken windows principle. It doesn't work for me. No.

How about complience with your own promises (road map) or at least Early Access terms?
As noted on the news post, the roadmap posted in February 2021 has been cancelled in June 2021.

It's not January 2023, dude.

Roadmap? Sea update? Hmm.

Where is a sea update?

Any new roadmap? Or at least updating EA terms?

Also, your link is broken, I guess. It's to the original roadmap, not to cancelling it.
OK, I see now a link at the top.

OK, we got H&H. What about a sea update? Other updates? EA dates?

This is the issue right there. Promise, there are no promises. Roadmaps are plans. Plans can change, unlike promises.

Kickstarter has promises that are (at least in theory) legally binding.
Early access is just buying a game as is. Thats it. If development stops the moment you buy a game thats fair game.

Again, I'm for two things:

1. Updated (new) road-map.
2. Updated Early Access terms (it's still not January 2023).

Update these points, please. As you can.

They threw out the roadmap 2 years ago to stop threads like this from being made. There will be no update to it because there's no reason to have one if it just leads to this mess again.

The January 2023 thing IS the update. As in they expect the game to remain in early access for another 2 years from January 2023. Come back in February 2025 and you can complain if they've updated the timeframe or not.

Okay. As you wish. Stand for devs who don't care about audience (my personal opining by watching all the time).

You're just not cut out for early access games. Recommend you stick to completed titles from here on.
