I agree about having to need 2 areas, I pad in a bit more space, like a 7x7 area and that barely allows for room around the hot tub in the comfort zone. I keep the workbenches in a circular area with additional living quarters above on stilts/pine log. Comfort outside in the work area is much lower and I could raise it with more render clutter, but I keep it lower as it's just a step inside to zip back up to full comfort...

The range is 3-d though. I have sandwiched my 'bedroom' in my home's levels to help with this... the hearths are above me in my kitchen (and by being above, no smoke problems, thats the top level, no chimney knot twisting construction) and some of the annoying items (like the child sized chair and darkwood table) are below me in my crafting room. Turns you you can sit at a workbench and still use it, which is cool.

by the way 5x5 is not going to work long term. I tried a micro home and ended up with 2 5x5 rooms full and no hot-tub. I got everything else in there, but I had to do some space-saving trick including some stuff up the walls and an 'attic' of sorts. IMHO you need one 5x5 for crafting, another for comfort and one more smaller room for kitchen if you don't want that in your comfort room, and that covers all the necessary items but leaves you high&dry for portals, storage, trophies, etc.

19 is what I get without seasonal items.
to get 19 you need access to tar.

One of everything meaning one bed ( dragon bed) one of each rug etc. I would place something and if comfort didnt go up i would destroy it. Thank you for the link.

Make sure you also have those items in relative close proximity to each other. Sadly the range is small and if something is too far away it wont be included in the amassed comfort levels of the other items.

But 17 is still more than decent. People play and beat the game as it currently stands without even caring much about comfort levels too so keep that in mind.

My guess is you've put something in that has a lower comfort bonus than another one of its kind (i.e., a bed instead of a dragon bed). It depends on whether you're built for comfort or built for speed.

A real list would be helpful. Don't forget the new red rug. New furniture replaces some of the old furniture. IG might consider revamp of the whole comfort concept soon cuz it's getting a bit silly.

There HAVE been changes to comfort. Comfort also depends on an items range. Like a rug will increase comfort for a range of maybe 10 feet around it and a bed for 10 feet.

So rug + bed means both count, but only in a 10 foot radius.

The high 15+ comfort rating require a LOT of decorations, items, wall mounts, rugs, fires, ligting, etc. all within 10-20 feet of each other to remain continual

"used" to be 17 no-cheat (or 18 if nearby maypole) and 19 by adding xmas tree (cheats), so where are the extra 3 comfort coming from and is that vanilla game or modded?

Yeah, how were you even getting 20? Absolute maximum possible as far as I can see should be 19.

There are plenty of ways you could do that, the easiest being with Steam's own screenshot function that is by default bound to F12. Then you just need to upload it to the Steam servers via it's own uploader.
