Can we slow down some enemies?
Every damn enemy in this game runs faster then you, longer then you, with infinit stam. I've had enemies track me from one side of an island to the other. Enemy lock onto me from insane distances. You just can't get away. Like, can we adjust some speeds here cause it's pretty insane.

They >hear< you first then they look in your direction, then they move slowly to check whats up there, then they "lock onto you". Its a long chain of events you can brake at any point. Enemy lock onto me from insane distances.
Every damn enemy in this game runs faster then youI dont think there is one that does it ... maybe mosquito if you are wearing the heaviest armor.
Stop jumping, that only bleeds stamina. Unequip your weapon, if you want to run you dont need to swing/shoot. And weapon slows you down hard.
longer then youStop running. Vast majority of enemies can be walked away from. They will often swing and miss. Regen your stamina to full, walk toward some obstacles, then jump over and run away, when they are far turn before stopping, as mobs will try to run to last location they saw you.

I assume the OP is putting their weapons away when running yes? Ditto consider the specialist armour sets if you wanna major on hit and run/stealth etc etc
As long as not carrying anything more than a dagger even in padded armour I can out run most of the damn critters int his game if I've managed my stamina OK so not sure the issue here??

Frostner will slow them down. Better if you install the EPIC LOOT mod, which can result in finding some weapons enchanted with a slow effect or enchanting them yourself, which is one of my favorite weapon enchantments.

the only enemies that are truely hard to lose are wolves and anything that can fly (aside gjall and seekers) the rest is easy to lose.
and most flyers have basically no hp to speak off. wraith excluded but that thing is a night only spawn. wiki claims they can spawn in crypts but i have NEVER seen one in there in all the crypts i plundered so probaly wrong or outdated info.

Speed is the main reason why I normally wear at least one piece of light armor. And put your shield and weapon away if you are going to run for it.

I have seen a wraith inside a crypt bot only once and pre-mistlands. The chests inside the crypts can contain chains. You might find enough that you don't have to hunt wraiths for chains. the only enemies that are truely hard to lose are wolves and anything that can fly (aside gjall and seekers) the rest is easy to lose.

nah bruh, they're already so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow. Deathsquitoes are very easy to kill as they come straight at you, just have your shield up and slap them or shoot them with a bow before they reach you. Wolves are faster than you, but you can ''outrun'' them also if you keep changing directions and kite them around objects, and if they get close for a bite, run right at the last second. Not any other mob (idk about mistlands, havent been there yet) outruns you.

I've even gotten to the point where I will use Eikthyr Forsaken Power and stamina meads to run through the skinny swamps to find my first turnip seeds and then in the large swamps to mark the crypts. Nothing in the swamp can keep up with you. Once you have the crypts marked you can just pick out the easiest one to get to and go after iron with troll or bronze gear. W
Kill the first boss and the power they give you is a stamina boost which makes it easy to get away from everything and you can cover long distances on a full stamina bar.
Preserve stamina by shouldering anything you're carrying too.
Hope that helps!

Why aren't you killing them instead? Heh.
As mentioned by knighttemplar, the only mobs you can't outrun are the mozzies and wolves. This sounds like a stamina problem.
Stamina management is absolutely a thing in this game. You need to balance your foods and make a stamina potion for an extra boost where necessary.

Remove weapon/shield when running and level running skill. There are very few enemies able to pursue you.

You can already slow down enemies: Frost arrows/frostner.
Otherwise, alternate walk/jog until they de-aggro. They will de-aggro.
Or just kill them like a true Viking should.

Wolves and deathsquitoes are the only non-mistlands enemies that you can't out run. Most every thing else that is agrroed will deaggro if you can get 30 meters away from it and then change direction so that you are no longer in its 90 perception radius.
Stay rested, manage your stamina, use the Eikthyr Forsaken Power, and carry stamina meads.
