My seed continues to be generous, because I've found 2 in caves, but I'd consider them more like pools. I haven't tried fishing them yet though. I found a frozen lake at the bottom of one cave, are you guys talking about one of those but unfrozen?

Nah the big lake at the bottom is always frozen afaik, the other small pools are the go, grate luck finding two on one seed, I spent sooo long clearing every cave on a few maps before finding the first
one

My current seed beginning island has 5, yes five caves with water, one golem, 3 fish rods and two had tetra that thankfully flung themselves on the floor. One cave had one, the other had three. They are all on the wall now, ugly little blind things.

I've found 2 tetra ponds in my single player run through for Mistlands. They aren't respawning though despite releasing a few back into both pools - kinda janky.

Cold Bait, You are a lucky guy. I have been searching for a long time and still haven't found a cave with water. Please Dev's DO NOT CHANGE THIS. It's fun looking for these fish. I will say there needs to be a reason to find them... Like "Rancid Remains Trophy" for the Dead Raiser.

I found the cave on the second try and to be even funnier the tetra was beached on the wall. Didn't even need to cast the fishing pole

I found six flopping around on the ground next to a small pool in a cave. No giant lakes though.

I had 6 maps created before the update and not one cave with pond on any of them. Someone gave me a seed that had one & since then I have found one more on a random seed I created after update. I picked up most Tetra after they jumped out and caught the rest on the line with Cold bait. Sadly they do not seem to respawn, even after leaving game running overnight. At this point as Jwilly says they don't do anything so really not much point in chasing them, however it seems likely there will be more to the Mistlands eventually [level 4 gear hopefully] so they might be useful one day. Good luck find the cave pond though.

Well I must admit, its a huge cave. I tried cold and frosty fishing bait, but the fish weren't interested at all in either of them. Looks to me like they made a suicide pact to see who will be the last to live. And are they supposed to be a secret fish? They aren't on the list of new fishes.

I've caught them with the cold bait. They don't unlock any new recipes, so no point in catching them unless you want to mount one on the wall.
