I'm on my first playthrough and got as far as killing Bonemass, then started getting 'You are being hunted' by about 20 wolves, each time nowhere near my base...after getting mauled twice I decided to start all over and do no boss killing on my new world, but killing the bosses on my old original world, thinking that wouldn't trigger the base raids...I just read somewhere that the wolf hunts start after killing Moder and are not related to the base raids.

I know that isn't accurate since i was fighting off wolves and hadn't killed Moder yet, so does anyone KNOW if my killing bosses on another world instead of my own will keep me from getting the wolf hunts...I don't especially mind the raids with bats and wyverns, even though they wipe out my boar and wolf herds without putting them in hardened bunkers [yuck], its the wolf hunt that really seems out of balance and not something I want to have to fight off in the middle of the Plains again...or in Mistlands when I finally get there.

I don't usually play with mods anymore, too much hassle when they aren't kept up to date and don't work, and I see the dev's don't support mods yet...does anyone know how to not get the wolf hunts...or do i just need to 'get gud' to fight off hordes of wolves??

Edit - BTW i know i could carry some wood and stone to quickly plunk down a work table and build a safe spot out of reach of the wolves [assuming I'm quick enough] but with space and weight already at a premium that doesn't seem very viable.
