is there any way to regenerate a save's world?
Like if they patch in some new content is there any way to keep my build and seed and update its world gen to include the new content ?
a /biomeworldgen which did this local to the player would be amazing, would let you go into a biome you want to regen and have it rebuilt with the patchs new terrain and dungeons and ♥♥♥♥.
or is there a way to save a build and copy it into a fresh world of the same seed?

I tested this mod and it workd fine. But dont forget to backup your blueptint files to prevent they deletion when reainstalling game ets. Honestly, i found this mod thanks to you - I saw that this problem occurs not only with me and keep looking. this is ♥♥♥ perfect thanks. I was considering having a world with just my base in it and zero exploration, and then load up another world to explore and fight bosses and then keep all loot back in the base world, that would let me just keep spawning fresh worlds to explore while protecting my base.
but this mod if it works will be cool as well.

Another way - create new world, but save your buildings as blueprints in external files, by using this mod:

Works fine, but you must add materials to elements of the blueprints

There is a mod that will do this, called "Upgrade World", if you search Nexus Mods. I recently used it on our world to regenerate explored mountains, and allow the new caverns. It worked great! It's supposed to be able to autodetect bases and such, and not regenerate within a radius around them. It has a number of commands you can use to limit regen to particular zones, etc.
