i have managed to fix this by ensuring that I remove Run As Administrator on both Steam and the game exe file

Did you disable Steam overlay in the game properties? The FPS counter only works if it's enabled.

Yes, it is still enabled. Did not changed anything in Steam. My other games are displaying the FPS counter fine though.

Mine was working earlier.

Did that like a couple of times. Even tried uninstall.

Just checked and mine is working fine.

I guess just make sure the show fps counter for the game is checked, you may have hit some keys by mistake and turned it off. I think they are game specific? Should have a checkbox.
