Arches - Wood or Stone, how?
Good evening, everybody.
I've seen several screenshots where people obviously had the capability to not only rotate build items left and right, but also tilt them up and down. With that they've built arches and the likes.
Is that even possible in the base game, or do you need a mod for that?
My apologies, if that is a silly question. :)

Thanks for your reply, guys 'n gals.
I was not looking for the arcs you showed in your screenshots, @GunsForBucks, but somebody tilted the regular 2x1 stone bars so that they form an arch.
I guess I won't be able to do that then, as I intend to play without mods.

Edit: I also wished for that the developers would add the vertical tilt, @TehJumpingJawa

Rotating on anything but the vertical axis requires mods.
Additionally, free-rotation on the vertical axis also requires mods.
Scaling components also requires mods.
There are a couple of arch-like components that are unlocked later (such as the arched double doorway), perhaps that's what you've seen?
I hope the devs allow rotation on more axes (and possible scaling) , as it'd allow for drastically more sophisticated constructions without needing to unnecessarily inflate the construction palette.
In fact additional rotation & scaling controls would allow the construction palette to be shrunk, as a significant portion of the existing components would become redundant.
Additionally, free-rotation on the vertical axis also requires mods.
Scaling components also requires mods.

While true, I would hope that the existing palette remains as is. While you could indeed rotate a vertical beam for example to be horizontal, having to do so every time you want a horizontal beam would be annoying. You could easily have hotkeys that snap to common orientations.
