Simple ideas for stacks of useless trophies...

Lore appropriate, I think?

Various human cultures have used trophy hunting and display to freak out their enemies.

Also, certain cultures brew "potions" made from obscure ingredients to provide protection from their enemies. Both of these could be used, I think relatively simply in the game.

1) Trophies become right-clickable - consumed to provide a TEMPORARY buff against that specific creature type. Effects such as: +X% damage dealt, -X% damage received, Fear effect (similar to the way dwarves avoid fire) ...this viking already showed they can kill others just like me, why the heck would I want to tangle? This could help when you're trying to travel quickly through an area, not wanting to bother with combat delays.

2) Trophies can be boiled/shrunk/bleached in a cauldron (uses various other ingredients) to turn them into a totem accessory which can be worn (along with others) on a necklace (Takes up helm slot just like the wishbone?) to provide the same buff as above, but PERMANENT (as long as worn)... lets see, do I wear my helm for extra armor protection in combat, or am I trying to move quickly and would rather mobs run away from me?

3) Trophies can be placed on stakes outside of a dwelling (or campsite), which causes a fear effect (radius) for that creature, keeping them from approaching the dwelling or damaging it.

4) Trophies can be dissected to extract pheromones which ATTRACT more of the creature (acts as a temporary spawn point)... helpful when you're hunting deer. Hmm... could we please have a bird trophy?

This game needs more freaky voodoo. :)
