Self-awareness is a thing. :P Whining about people whining about people whining is still whining, if you really want to go that route.

Those who are complaining about the slow pace of development are not wrong. It's been very slow-paced, and nowhere near the original 2021 Roadmap we were given. By no means do I think the devs are being lazy, but they certainly did over-promise and under-deliver. It's still a great game, and I still have a bunch of fun, but I can't sit here with a straight face and say to those who are complaining that they have no right to do so. The point of the post you are quoting is that there are so many who do just that; they sit there and try to act like we've no right to complain about the under-delivery of promised features and updates.

[Note that this is not specifically aimed at the person I am quoting, but about all those in this thread who are doing exactly that.]

That's kind of why this thread was created, I would assume. The OP is wondering if he should wait for the delivery of those promises, or just play as is and give up on the Mistlands update.

Many Early Access games area a scam, similar to those that do fundraising and years later no game still not even a beta.
Sadly we see something similar happening now here too, peoples had high hopes and after 1 year+ they got disappointed.

Really? You complain about a game that provides people joy for hundreds of hours at a measly 17 Euro a SCAM?

Wow that's a lot of irrational anger (and moaning) for someone who bought an Early Access game. Let the game get build organically. Stop complaining. There are thousands of other games on Steam to scratch your survival itch. Go play Conan Exiles if you want a similar experience with way more content.

1. No one except the devs knows when Mistlands will be released specifically but given the dev teams method of working on aspects of the game(per an interview on Jiroc's YT channel recently with one of the devs), I'd say its still a ways out and that it'll happen when it happens is a better way to consider it.

2. We don't know when you left exactly but there have been additions (hearth and home, mountain ice cave biomes and creatures and items etc) that have been added that you may not have partaken of. Sure you can continue to wait or dabble a bit back in the game if you wish.

Ecept there's patch notes and updates that contradict your inane statement there.

Gonna have to break it to you gently but the devs work pace is the same before and after really. Plenty of yt interviews you can listen to and understand that.

We get you're disparaging the devs because you are impatient and feel entitled to having what you want at your pace but your wants just dont match the reality of these things.

And they are working on the game. You well know there are devs that abandon games in EA all the time.

I would ask when you played last and what you and your friends want to do.

If you want to continue an old game with old characters then I would probably suggest not bothering.

If you want to start a new game with new characters you will see a ton of new changes to progression especially if you played before H&H dropped. I would say it is definitely worth playing again just to adjust to all the changes.

So really it depends on what you and your friends want or hope to gain from playing.

That was like 6 months ago. I couldn't help myself, so I hopped back in.

Since there's not even an inkling of when Mistlands will be released, I'd say just have a ball and play again. What's the worst that could happen?

I have some worlds I'm exploring and stocking up on mats and experience. I'm anticipating that Mistlands will be harder than the Plains Biome.
